A Question of Adjudication

6th September 2006

Members Question

The Member's Question in The IAMA News for June 2006 was set by Robert Fenwick Elliott, who will be adjudicating on the answers received by IAMA in due course...

He earned the dubious honour of setting this curly question as a result of his answer to an earlier question being chosen by the Hon Justice David Byrne; that one was about the presence of a dog called McKenzie in an arbitration, and it seems that that entry succeeded because it managed to work a reference to Mr Spock into the answer.  In the interests of keeping this trivial pursuit fresh, no points will be scored this time for any further references to science fiction of any sort, or for that matter, any more jokes about lawyers and Rottweilers.

Click here for Robert's question about an adjudication.  The somewhat off-beat introduction stems, it seems,  from the keen interest that IAMA Executive Assistant Gianna Totaro has in anything even remotely connected with the opera, and is not in any sense to be taken as a hint about the answer to the question.
